Guam War Claims Alliance

About GWCA

The Guam War Claims Alliance (GWCA) was formed to support recognition of loyalty & reparations for Chamorros and Guamanians who survived the occuption of Imperial Japanese Forces of Guam during World War II.

Mission

The path towards recognition for Guam’s World War II survivors has been a long and arduous process, fraught with misinformation and lacking a coordinated community effort.  GWCA aims to disseminate relevant information to Chamorros and Guamanians around the country, and hopes to coordinate efforts to usher the Guam World War II Loyalty Recognition Act into law.

The GWCA strives to do the following, with the ultimate goal of passing H.R. 44 through Congress:

1) Educate and inform the general public and policymakers about the Guam World War II Loyalty Recognition Act and the state of Guam War Claims.

2) Mobilize Guamanian communities on the mainland to contact their Congressional representatives and push for passage of H.R. 44.

The Challenge Ahead to Reconcile Our Past

With no comparable bill in the Senate, our community’s work is cut out for us.  It will take all of us to take the U.S. Senate to take action on H.R. 44.  We will need to mobilize our families and friends to contact the U.S. Senate in support of H.R. 44’s final passage.

WE ALL NEED TO WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN FOR GUAM!

Please sign up to join GWCA below, and take action by telling Congress to pass the bill, and by telling family and friends to get involved.

We hope that you use the resources on this site in organizing your family and friends to make Guam War Claims a reality.
